It had been around 2pm when we finally reached the city after a long, and boring car trip filled with radio, radio and more radio.
"Oh my Gosh!! MUM!! Are we there yet?!!" I asked for the millionth time as another old country song from the 80's began to play.
"Yes, we're here" she replied as she turned the corner, into a large paved street. Finally, the answer I'd been waiting hours for!
Our car pulled up outside a huge fairy-tale looking house, with beautiful marble white walls, enormous clear glass windows framed with elegant silver curtains and a small yet breath taking flowering garden.
I stared at it wide eyed, my mouth hanging ope
People are messed up
I'm messed up
Life is messed up
People make mistakes
I make mistakes
Life is filled with mistakes
People don't learn from their mistakes
I don't learn from my mistakes
But life is nothing, without mistakes
Life isn't interesting without mistakes
So who said mistakes are bad?
Life is one huge mistake
Let's love our life,
And love our mistakes
See that blade
not a stain upon it
beautiful shining silver
glistening in the light
Take it in your sweaty palm
hold it tightly in your fingers
feel the smooth wood
beneath your soft skin
Empty your mind
let no thought intrude
hold in it the sole picture
of an iridescent blade
Now take my hand
grasp it with care
close your eyes
do for me my will
let not a drop fall
of sweet crimson tears
release your grip
let me go
At you, I yell
I scream, I shout
Pointless masses of angry words
spew from my open mouth
I close my ears from your blare
Let my eyes pour heated tears
I crawl into darkness
huddled in corners tight
block out the sunshine
and dive into the night
Watch the shadows
creeping along walls
darkness grabs me
see it seep into my veins
flowing through my body
gushing endless pain
Why are you here?
What difference do you make?
Why do you bother?
There are 6 billion other people,
why are you needed?
Someone else could be you,
Someone else could be a teacher
Someone else could be a doctor
Someone else could have children
Someone else could save that man
Why are YOU here?
I don't know about you,
but I have something to give to the world.
Don't waste your life in a dark corner
sitting around waiting for the storm
it will come sooner than you think
a tornado destroying your very existence
spend your days dancing in the sunshine
smelling flowers and watching the grass grow
wrap yourself in blankets of memories
let them hold you through the rage

Literature
Never show the world.
Blazing auburn curls
frame her sweet pastel face
Bright emerald eyes
glow intensely
Above her narrow
but delicate lips
A sweet spirit
within a beautiful creature
Holding a glowing heart
and flawless soul
Forever smiling
sharing her love
Her kindness
eternal bliss
Hiding beneath
a present of pain
And anguish
of which only I know
Her gentle cheery father
drunk as a lord
Pins her mournfully to the wall
and strikes her humble face
Her tender loving boyfriend
struck with constant moods
Holds her crudely down
screaming with cusses and hatred
Her courteous warm friends
speak sweetly to her face
Furtively stabbing her back

The real teenage years
Expectations;
Vast crowd of close friends
Sneaking out at midnight
My first Kiss
Late nights under the stars
Crying on my best friends shoulder
Telling secrets
Passionate Love
Road trips
Boundless Parties
Endless Laughter
Happiest days of my life.
Reality;
Small group of intimate friends
Locked in my bedroom
Crushes
Hugging my teddy
Crying into my pillow
Scribbling in my diary
Day-dreams
School camps
Drab birthdays
Smiles
This is life.
Sparking green eyes
stare through me
piercing glares
flow deep into my soul
beautiful pain
seeping within
glisten in the moonlight
peer into bountiful sweetness
the essence of the soul

I found my old sketchbook today!!
Memories of sitting home all holidays drawing :3 .. I was terrible haha
I shall scan and upload them sometime sooon...
I have a friend who is an amazing piano player, and I showed her some of my poems and she wants to turn my "Together again, my love" into a song, and rename it "reborn"
I love the name, and the chords she has for the song so far are beautiful :D
Now.. to get enough courage to sing it while she plays.. that may take a bit of practice ^^
